Course Description

Course Details Do you have a lot of images to manage? Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is a fantastic tool for any digital photographer who needs to edit and sort images quickly. Whether you're a busy parent shooting lots of pictures or a professional photographer with many clients, Lightroom will help you get the results you want in a lot less time. In this course, you can use Lightroom Classic CC (a desktop application part of Creative Cloud subscription) or Lightroom 6 to see how this powerful program can help you prepare, edit, and organize your photos quickly and effectively. Using Lightroom's non-destructive editing, you'll be able to control how you edit your images and make additional alterations later. So put some polish on your photos, save time, impress clients, and stay organized as you unlock the mysteries of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. The hands-on, easy-to-follow exercises in this course will help you perfect your collections of digital photos! Note: Adobe now has two versions of Lightroom CC: Lightroom Classic CC (for the desktop) and Lightroom CC (for the cloud, desktop and devices). This course is written specifically for Lightroom Classic CC and not for the new Lightroom CC. How It Works This course is fully online, you require internet access and an email account. The course duration is 6 weeks, followed by a 2-week period to complete the final exam (online, open book). Lessons are released on Wednesdays and Fridays of each week, for a total of 12. You are not required to be online at any specific time. In addition to the specific lesson content, there is a discussion board with each lesson and often there is an optional assignment to apply the learning. Following each lesson, there is a short multiple choice quiz. Your score on these quizzes does not count towards the final mark but completing these helps solidify your learning as well as prepare you for the final exam. The final exam is an open-book, multiple choice exam and you need to achieve a minimum of 65% on the final exam to pass the course. There is only one opportunity to pass the exam. A certificate of completion from Ed2Go is available for printing immediately upon successful completion of the course and a certificate from the University of Waterloo will be emailed typically 1-2 weeks later. Many of the Ed2Go courses are eligible towards the various online certificates offered by WatSPEED. Requirements Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC or an updated version of 6 (for example: 6.1). Mac-Windows differences are minimal and students with Macs will only need to make a few standard Windows-to-Mac conversions, and we include notes when those need to be made. Instructors have Mac computers and software available to answer questions. The software runs nearly the same on both.
